Gourd Art Class

Our classes are lively and fun to attend. Lunch is supplied, each class day is eight hours, 9am to 5 pm. Attendees come away with the knowledge and confidence to continue on with their own styles of design. More advanced and private lessons are available. We will be completing a leaf sculpture gourd, and will cover gourd basics and safety, equipment, plus discussion of design placement, pattern transfering, marketing, finishing techniques along with patterns and a helpful resource notebook. There will be a demo on inlay, relief carving and pine needle weaving. All materials are included to finish your leaf sculpture. Snacks, drinks and lunch are included. You only need to bring a high speed handpiece (if you don't own one, I can loan one for a small fee), an apron, long sleeve shirt and optivisor if you have one. Price: $875.
